Fantasy-focused writer, fiction and non-fiction
Young Adult Fantasy manuscript brewing, while developing an oral history for a huge TV show from the 90s.
I'm an Irish-born writer based in Toronto. My focus is on speculative fiction and non-fiction, with a special interest in popular TV and film. I've contributed essays to published anthologies and studied publishing through the University of Toronto.
My Story
I hold an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Limerick and have completed two publishing courses through the University of Toronto. I've contributed essays to an LGBTQA+ anthology.
Currently, I'm developing an oral history of one of my favourite TV shows in honour of its 30th anniversary while aggressively editing a fantasy manuscript I’ve been working on since 2023.
Books, TV, film, music, travel and food are so important to me.
I'm based in Toronto with my partner, Ken.

Nonfiction
This year, I began work on an oral history of one of my favourite TV shows. An oral history of a groundbreaking supernatural drama that aired in the late 1990s and became a cultural landmark. The project centers on the voices of the cast, showrunner, writers, directors, and the devoted fan community that sustained the show's legacy. Currently in the interview and research phase, with sample chapters completed.
Fiction
In 2023, I started working on a Young Adult fantasy manuscript called The Boy Born of One and am in the final stages of editing.
Elevator pitch: “A boy born from immaculate conception is forced into exile after unleashing dangerous magic on his childhood friends. When he flees to the sorcerer realms of the East, he meets a young girl carrying an immaculately born child just like him, and they work together to uncover the secret behind their impossible births.”
I'm exploring representation with literary agents and publishers for both projects.
